Nova SBE Executive Education created the LEGO® Serious Play®: Introduction, which is now in its 5th edition - a training based on extensive research in the areas of management, organisational development, psychology and teaching, exploring the connection between hands and the cognitive system. João Castro, the program's Scientific Coordinator, explained to us how the little pieces can help sharpen decision-making in companies and strengthen leaders' skills.

We learn all our lives and it defines us. In fact, everything we do seemingly innately in our daily lives happens because, eventually, someone taught us. Most of the time we find ourselves doing things we never even imagined possible: a recipe we learned while watching our mother, or riding a bicycle after it had been sitting still for years. This happens because our brain gathers all the information and makes it accessible at the moment we need it.

Chiara Moenter, Spacefluencer and student of the first edition of the Space for Business programme - created in partnership with St. Gallen, Rotterdam School of Management and Nova SBE and the European Space Agency -, tells us about her experience at the Carcavelos campus, in the second module of the training on business in space.

The 'Adam's Choice' program at Nova SBE Executive Education has opened enrollment for its third edition. As a disruptive learning experience, this immersive training program has already helped more than 158 participants to reprogram the way they make choices, not only professionally, but also with an impact on their personal lives.

Learning is always a social act. In the classroom, online, in a discussion, introspection or laboratory, the social component is always present, whether through peers, teachers or even through the learning content. The act of learning depends on the relationships created and is never independent of those involved in the process. It is not by chance that in the first universities students lived, learned and studied in communities (guilds, colleges and residences), since in the relationships established there are learning processes, whether of collaboration, imitation, challenge, or just by indirect exposure to new content.
