Nova SBE Sales Lab has joined SHL Portugal to create the Sales Maturity Index, a tool that allows to assess the potential of the sales teams in any organization. The unprecedented project in Portugal promises to leverage the sales strategy of national companies and understand the main challenges facing the sector.

Tabaqueira, Vanguard Properties, ManpowerGroup Portugal, and SHL are the founding partners of this initiative and will participate in the study. All these companies will be submitted to a commercial talent assessment, based on four distinct areas, focused on the B2B market:

- Skills: technical skills such as negotiating ability and commercial orientation;

- Competencies: soft skills and behavioural competencies, such as communication, critical thinking, and resilience;

- Drivers: motivational skills, such as merit, competition, and learning;

- Digital Strengths: digital skills, such as the ability to work remotely, digital relationships, and mastery of digital tools.

The organisations joining the initiative will benefit from this benchmarking of sales staff and employees with other organisations, identifying potential and weaknesses. The results may also favour investment in individual and team development programmes, tailored to the challenges the company faces.

The founding partners will also have a privileged status, which includes participating in the Nova SBE Sales Shaker event, as sponcers, integrating this Sales Maturity Index, receiving the results free of charge, and enjoying up to 30% discount in several sales executive education programmes.

These objectives are closely linked with the mission of the Nova SBE Sales Lab, which is dedicated to innovation in the sales sector and to the empowerment, inspiration and personal development of sales people and leaders, in the B2C and B2B area.
