The fourth edition of the Ageas Innovation Hackathon will take place at Nova SBE on 13 and 14 April. Nuno Horta, Group Innovation Manager at Ageas, explains to us why the insurer continues to value investment in innovation and working alongside students.

Gender inequalities still persist in the Portuguese labour market and in the world. To boost female leadership, Nova SBE Executive Education created the Women's Leadership Program, whose second edition will begin on March 21. We spoke to Mafalda Paiva Chaves, Team Leader of Nova SBE's Co.Innovation Lab, to understand what makes this training unique in the country.

NOS launched an innovative training programme in Advanced Data Analytics (AA) for its employees, developed in partnership with Nova SBE Executive Education and LTPlabs, with the aim of making known the potential of AA to the organisation in general. Nova SBE Executive Education has created the Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - internationally agreed development goals and commitments to international conventions and treaties. We spoke with Professor Ricardo Zózimo, to understand to what extent this program can help companies transform the world, society and economy.

Do you know what digital experimentation is? "It's a digital version of what have been the fundamentals of science and learning since Francis Bacon in the 1600s, applying the same methods to create hypotheses, defining how we can learn about the world around us to draw metrics that inform our decisions," explained Greg Sherwin, Digital Experimentation Specialist at SingularityU Portugal.

Nuno da Silva Vieira believes that law firms have in digital transformation an opportunity to provide safer, more efficient, and client-centric legal services.

"Everybody has a story and you should never underestimate what's going on in other people's lives," said Terry Hamill, specialist in Education, Leadership and Human Potential at SingularityU Portugal. Storytelling can be difficult, but it is often an avenue for improving leadership and paving the way for networking in your organisation.
