The pandemic has been affecting several market sectors and the branding universe was not immune to this reality. With that in mind, the Empower Brands Community and Imagens de Marca partnered with Nova SBE Executive Education to create a new course.

his Strategic Branding Course is an intensive training course on brand management and strategy and aims, over three and a half days, to make participants aware of the new paradigms and challenges to which the world of brands has recently been subjected, as a result of the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the market.

Made thinking of all professionals who want to develop their skills in the areas of branding and brand strategy, the Strategic Branding Course has the executive coordination of Professor Catherine da Silveira and the curatorship of Cristina Amaro, author and anchor of Imagens de Marca, who is also founder and president of Empower Brands Community.

At stake is a program that will focus on the principles of marketing and communication, with the aim of granting value and purpose to brands. A training that also aims to help participants to think and rethink logos, names and other communication elements of their brands, as well as to build marketing and communication plans, in a practical way.

With this training, participants will also learn the necessary tools for a strategic positioning aligned with the market needs, namely with themes such as social responsibility and sustainability. In Cristina Amaro's words, participants will have, with this training, the possibility to "reflect and learn to apply branding strategies - a fundamental step for the success of any business" and whose "implementation is often left on paper or is only partially implemented".

This is a course that, in the words of Catherine da Silveira, comes in response to a need: "There were already some visible trends and changes in the market, but the pandemic really reinforced it. (...) The role of brands has changed a lot in the last two years". It is necessary to know how to "manage, understand and guide brands in a different way than before the pandemic", adds the executive coordinator of the course.

"It's a course for which we have a lot of expectation", refers Carla Viana, executive director of Empower Brands Community. A training that appears, as she highlights, in the scope of what was "the first partnership established" by the company "with a higher education institution", itself "recognised and very strong in the market".

The first edition of this course is scheduled to take place between 20 and 23 October 2021, taking place over three and a half days, from 9am to 6pm and from 9am to 1pm, respectively, at Nova SBE's premises in Carcavelos.
