Under the central theme "The Purpose Generation: Becoming the Changemakers of Tomorrow", the Estoril Conferences will take place on September 1 and 2, 2022, at Nova SBE, with a two-day agenda focused on seven main global challenges. It will be broadcasted online and feature live interactions on stage with other universities worldwide to hold their local events.

The Estoril Conferences have an active role in finding solutions for the world's most urgent issues.  Since 2009,  it has brought to Portugal some of the most prestigious world leaders, Nobel Prize laureates, and current and former Heads of State to debate global issues under the scope "Global Challenges, Local Answers." More than a decade later, the Estoril Conferences have become one of the most renowned events in Portugal and have moved the debates far beyond Portuguese borders.

Under the leadership of Nova SBE, the 2022 edition will bring a two-day agenda focused on seven main global challenges, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the current global situation: Climate & Action; Economy & Purpose; Education & Skills; Technology & Ethics; Health & Wellbeing; Inclusion & Access and Politics & Trust. With CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education - as Strategic Partner and with McKinsey & Company as Knowledge Partner, the Estoril Conferences will amplify the intergenerational dialogue on global challenges and engage the Purpose Generation worldwide setting the stage for interactive international discussions. There will be parallel joint events taking place on the exact dates in other CEMS schools: Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia) with a 2-day event covering the full programme of the Estoril Conferences; London School of Economics (UK), with a 1-day event dedicated to the theme Economy & Purpose and Aalto University (Finland) with a dedicated panel focused on "Climate & Action."

This edition also counts on the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic, the support of the Municipality of Cascais and Tourism of Portugal, as well as the  European Commission's Representation in Portugal and UNRIC - United Nations Regional Information Centre, to empower young people to become active citizens, in alignment with the Next EU Research & Innovation Investment Programme 2021-2027 and the EU Youth Strategy. The 2022 Edition is also partnering with  LEYA, LUSA, The Good Lobby, Amnesty International, Teach for Portugal, NOVAFRICA. Nova SBE Haddad Entrepreneurship Institute, WeBelong, NALA - Feminist Collective and Transparency International.
