Before the awards ceremony, the event featured a debate on the theme of "Impact" to recognize the importance of stronger tourism, capable of impacting people, local communities and the economy, through innovation, difference, and leadership.
This was followed by a presentation by the Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Impact Culture and a speech by the current Secretary of State for Tourism, Pedro Machado.
The Prémios Líderes do Turismo honored companies in eight categories and also presented the Manager of the Year Award and the Impact Award, two distinctions awarded directly by the TNEWS team. For the first time, the "Leading Woman in Tourism by WITH" was honoured, a distinction awarded by the Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality to recognize and celebrate the role of women in the tourism sector.
