Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) rises four positions and conquers the best position ever achieved by a Portuguese school - 18th place worldwide and 15th in Europe, according to the Financial Times, which has just released the ranking that evaluates business schools around the world offering executive education.

Currently ranked in the top 18 worldwide, Nova SBE stands out for the fourth consecutive year as the best ranked Portuguese school in the Financial Times ranking, thus confirming its national leadership in executive education in Portugal. Through the programs it offers, Nova SBE Executive Education asserts itself as a platform generating a direct impact on the economy, namely by involving public and private institutions in the development of competitiveness in Portugal, in particular SMEs, which make up the majority of the Portuguese business fabric.

In specific rankings, Nova SBE's performance stands out in Open Programs (29th place in the world), in the International Participants indicator, in 8th place worldwide, which reflects the strong focus on the internationalization of its programs. 2023 will be an example of this, with two events that demonstrate the global positioning of Nova SBE's executive education:

- An exclusive global executive program for international companies with elements of immersive learning, engaging methodologies, and hands-on will be held at the Carcavelos campus in the 2nd week of September.

- On September 21 and 22, Nova SBE will host the UNICON Europe Regional Meet up, where executive education leaders from 40 business schools will meet to talk about the future of executive education.

In the ranking of Customized Programs (16th place in the world), it stands out in the indicator Partnerships With Other Schools, in 6th place worldwide, which reflects the work done and the partnerships achieved with organizations of excellence, such as the business schools that belong to the UNICON global network. Another example is the Exponential Business Administration (xBA)which results from a partnership between Nova SBE and StartSe, and was distinguished at the MERIT Summit 2022in Madrid, with an international innovation award.

2023 sees the return to this executive education ranking of schools of excellence, such as INSEAD and the University of Oxford: Saïd, which re-enter the third and 14th positions, respectively, reinforcing the excellence of the group that makes up the world top 18, of which Nova SBE's executive education is part.

"The proximity to our corporate partners, the quality of our faculty and the school's vision focused on impact are some of the reasons for this success, but also the avant-garde culture reflected in the teaching methodology, particularly through the integration of real challenges in companies, the introduction of new learning technologies and support for the professional development of students," says Pedro Brito, Associate Dean of Executive Education at Nova SBE, adding:"ever since we started our path in executive education, we have been committed to helping people and organizations prepare for their future, from a lifelong employability perspective. That is why we provide an educational offer that integrates active learning, personalized and aligned with the real needs of people, companies and societies.

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, says about the results obtained in this ranking: "Nova SBE is one of the four Portuguese schools present in the Financial Times' executive education ranking, which , once again, demonstrates the excellent quality of the education in Portugal. The results achieved by Nova SBE, which is ranked 18th in the world (the best ever obtained by any Portuguese school in this ranking) consolidates our leadership in Portugal, both in open and customized programs, leave us very satisfied and show that we are on the right path to creating a community of talent and knowledge with impact on the world. It is by working with companies and organizations that we can transform the economy and society, training leaders prepared to understand their role and responsibility in building a more just and sustainable society.
