n 2018, we followed the experience of five participants of the 40th edition of the General Management Course (CGG). In the first week, we gauged their expectations, and, five months later, we wanted to know if they would recommend the training. Starting from distinct individual journeys, in the end, they all culminated in the same feeling: surprise at exceeding expectations.
"A topexperience"
Carlos Enes, General Director at EcoFirma, chose the General Management Course because of the teaching staff and the opportunity to interact with different profiles of participants, from the most varied areas.
"My goddaughter came here to study and said this was great. That was the first alert. Second, I opted for Nova so that I would get out of my comfort zone," she began by recounting in the first week of CGG.
Five months later, Carlos assured us that Nova SBE Executive Education gave him an opportunity to expand his knowledge in the area of management and prepare himself for new challenges.
"It has fantastic teachers, with very good academic backgrounds and with the ability, above all, to be able to reconcile the academic part and the current world we live in."
"Nova's environment provides creativity and well-being"
A doctor by training, Joana Rivotti took a risk and decided to completely change her career path. After "becoming disenchanted with her previous profession", she opted for the CGG to acquire new skills and immerse herself in networking, hoping to open doors to start her own business.
"I was always told that I could be good at the Economics and Management part, which I felt unable to do because I was a doctor and didn't understand anything," she began by telling us. "Idid some research, I saw what the best programmes were, the ones ranked highest in the rankings, and I saw that Nova's was one of them."
After "a very inspiring first week", Joana assured us:
"It was a very positive experience, different to what I was expecting."
"I should have had this show earlier. It was spectacular!"
Dinora Botelho, a professional in the insurance sector, wanted to enrich her professional career and experience with more up-to-date academic training. In her words, "I was looking for innovative experiences", to obtain "inspiration for the next projects".
And, over the course of five months, he achieved his goals.
"The programme is quite innovative, it responds transversally to the main areas within the management of an organisation," he explained to us. "It was spectacular!”.
"The experience was highly positive"
Amaro Freire is Director of one of the companies of the Cimpor Group and also chose the General Management Course to review and update knowledge in this area.
He admitted to us that he started the training to "review some concepts and not to see so many new subjects". However, he was surprised by the novelty of subjects he did not know, were this post-graduation focused on current and future trends.
"In some respects, it even exceeded expectations. Ihave already advised several people within the company and outside the company."
"I would have no qualms in advising and stressing the versatility of this training"
João Silva, Director of the Millennium BCP Prestige Centre, felt he needed to make up for some lack of knowledge in the area of Management. He felt that training was the way forward and the General Management Course stood out from the others due to its versatility. The teaching method enchanted him in the very first week, and the excellence of the learning came to be confirmed in the following months.
"I described in the first talk that the first two weeks were being fantastic. I think in the end I can say that it has far exceeded that denomination," he confessed to us.
"The quality of the teaching staff, the naturalness, the experience they share with us, is the key to this course. The networkingwe dowith our training colleagues also makes all those minutes dedicated to the CGG worthwhile".
