Coaching has been gaining a central importance in the personal and work field, and is an integral part of the journey of the Adam's Choice programme, of Nova SBE Executive Education. o fully explore the process of transformation, each experience is carefully designed to suit individual and group dynamics. More specifically, throughout the programme, there is a strong coaching component that aims to uncover each participant's challenges and provide guidance on how to overcome them. It is in the transformation and growth phase that participants are given practical tools to apply in their day-to-day lives. With the aim of presenting differentiated ways of learning, Patrícia Guerreiro, one of the executive coaches at Adam's Choice, shares "Tips and Tricks" with the participants, in the form of videos lasting between 5 and 8 minutes. This content, shared on a weekly basis, aims to address the struggles that the participants themselves share in the individual sessions.

This week's theme is dedicated to all those people who find it difficult to say "no" and end up saying "yes" to everything.

"Successful people say 'no' to almost everything". This famous quote from Warren Buffett, one of the greatest investors of all time, should serve as a guide for us in navigating the business world of the 21st century. In a society that celebrates the word "yes" and glorifies total availability, saying "no" becomes a true act of courage. Showing openness to help or work more can be a real temptation, but it can also be mortgaging your goals and aspirations. Because in an attempt to move away from the image of the 'killjoy' you may be saying 'yes' to wrong choices that take you off course to achieve satisfaction in your life.

A lack of ability to say "no" is actually a telltale sign that you are not taking control of your life, but rather handing the reins over to other people.

In the video below are ten tips on how to break free from the scams of "total availability" and how to gain the courage to say "no".

This is the first video in a series dedicated to the empowerment that comes from using the word "no". This project is part of the Adam's Choicewhich is intrinsically linked to the concept of Choosenology. Each participant is educated about the impact of the decision-making process, reflecting on their individuality and gaining self-awareness on a unique and transformative journey of growth.
