The Ageas Innovation Hackathon, an initiative of the Ageas Portugal Group and Nova SBE, is back. The 3rd edition of the innovation hackathon, which challenges students to solve real cases in 24 hours, returns on 11 and 12 February, in digital format.
O

event will be fully adapted to the current environment: for the first time, the Ageas Innovation Hackathon 3.0 will take place in a virtual environment. However, the goal remains the same: to find original and innovative answers to respond to real cases, related to the Ageas world.

The initiative will count with the participation of more than 75 students from 8 nationalities, and from several areas, namely Economics, Engineering, Data Analysis and Design, from Nova SBE, Nova FCT, Nova IMS and IADE universities, among other national and international ones. To foster mutual help between teams, creativity and innovation, the event will also have several speakers and mentors.

On the first day of the Ageas Innovation Hackathon 3.0, three challenges will be issued to the groups, related to the pandemic situation we are facing. Participants will have all afternoon and evening to gain inspiration and think of innovative ideas. The second day will focus on realising solutions, corresponding to the incubation and implementation phases, which will culminate in a final pitch. In this phase, students will have to present their findings before a jury, consisting of six members of the Ageas Portugal Group.

The winning teams of each challenge will receive a participation diploma, a prize of €2,500 and the opportunity to do an internship in Ageas Portugal Group. The team that stands out in the competition will be awarded with the "Blow-me-away"trophy and an additional €2,500.
