There are times in life when the path to follow is not obvious, the decision to be taken is not clear and the uncertainties about the direction to take are many. We are constantly faced with situations in which we have to decide and this decision becomes even more complex and difficult when time is short and the pressure and consequences are high.

With technological and transport development, the global world has moved closer together and the pace of individuals, teams and organisations seeking competitive advantage has increased. Effectiveness is now measured by the ability to adapt which must be a constant, and the precious pearl of companies is knowledge (i.e. people) which allows them to be at the forefront when stimulated and framed.

How do I feel? What moves me? What stimulates me? What am I afraid of and do I hide with strange behaviour? How can I improve and strengthen my relationships?

"Are you listening to me? ..." We have all felt, at one time or another in our lives, what it is like not to be heard. At such times, we may feel diminished, isolated and even alone.

We all know that metaphor is a powerful means to help us understand various aspects of life and, even more so, about ourselves. Metaphor derives from the Greek μεταφορά and means "transfer, transport to another place" and is, in fact, a figure of speech that we often use to produce figurative meanings through comparisons.
