Digital transformation is profoundly changing the way we work, communicate, and create value within organizations. In a market increasingly shaped by technology, digital skills are no longer just a competitive advantage—they have become an essential requirement for employability, adaptability, and professional growth.
It was in this context that Nova SBE Executive Education launchedNova Digital, a fully funded training initiative that enabled thousands of Portuguese citizens to develop the skills necessary to meet the challenges of the digital economy.
Created as part ofthe Cheque-Formação + Digital program, promotedby the IEFP andaligned with the objectivesof the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the project combined Nova SBE’s academic excellence with a flexible online learning experience tailored to the specific needs of the job market.
Through Nova Digital, three training programs have been made available in areas of particular relevance to professionals and organizations:
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
- Digital Productivity Tools
- Digital Marketing and Sales
Participation exceeded expectations and confirmed the growing demand for training in digital skills. In total, the projectrecorded 3,860 final registrations, a figure that highlights professionals’ interest in understanding and applying tools and knowledge related to some of today’s most transformative fields.
But the impact of Nova Digital is not measured solely by the number of participants. It is also measured by the quality of the experience reported by the trainees and the perceived relevance of the content. In this regard, the programs achievedan overall satisfaction rating of 4.5 out of 5, reflecting recognition of the pedagogical quality, practical applicability, and flexibility of the learning experience.
This result reinforces Nova Digital's position as an initiative designed to address real needs: to train professionals, support digital transitions, and make access to specialized training more inclusive and comprehensive.
By offering high-quality, fully funded programs, Nova Digital has helped democratize access to skills that are increasingly valued by the job market. For many participants, this represented a concrete opportunity to update their skills, gain new qualifications, and become familiar with the tools that are transforming companies, job roles, and industries.
The results show that there is a strong desire to learn and grow professionally when real opportunities for access to training are created. They also highlight the importance of continuing to invest in initiatives that promote digital skills as a driver of growth, innovation, and employability.
More than just a training program, Nova Digital has established itself as a concrete response to a collective challenge: preparing people and organizations for a future of work that is increasingly digital, demanding, and constantly changing.
